CHRISTMAS DAY 08

We had our usual Christmas Eve get together at my grandma's house. We usually eat like an actual dinner on Christmas day but this year everyone wanted to do their own thing so we decided to just have dinner at my grandma's Christmas eve. I spent the entire day cooking bbq ribs and chicken and I made a bunch of desserts (most of which got ate before we even left ROFL) to take over there.
We ate, sang some Christmas songs and made sure everyone had all their gifts and went home.

My mom had the boys go to bed and then drug out a ton of gifts I had to wrap since they were from Santa and couldn't be seen under the tree till Christmas of course. While doing that I watched "The Most Wonderful Time of Year" on Hallmark which was super cute and by far the best new Christmas movie this year.

Christmas morning we started opening up presents around 8am. We then realized that the vid cam was dead and my camera was dead and we had no batteries ROFL! I managed to plug the vid in and found some random batteries to put in the cam.
The boys got a firetruck, huge batman, dragon, frog, puzzles, games, hannah montana stuff, dora stuff, books, dvds, costumes etc... too much to remember and name LOL
I got my dad a digital photo keychain and my mom a sweater with matching shoes :)
what I got:
David & Susi: Movie Basket filled with candy and popcorn with Season 2 of Supernatural & a singing Eeyore
Christen: 2 American Eagle messenger/tote bags
Christen & Jack: white super soft faux fur blanket
Carsten: Hannah Montana lip glosses, board game candies & razzles
Dona: Pink rose & gold locket, photo paper, Kohl's Christmas cd
Grandma: pink sweater
Mom & Dad: potholders that say "born to shop forced to cook", pjs with 3 girls on them shopping (totally PAL ;), Sex & the City designer tote bag, sweater, shirt, jacket from Old Navy, portable mp3 carrying case and speaker, Kodak easyshare 12X zoom camera. ahh!
Mellow: Marley & Me childrens book and a stuffed Marley
Santa: eeyore pjs, my high heeled stocking full of trinkets and goodies :)
Louise: cosmetic bag, lip gloss, eye shadow, socks, red purse filled with yummy truffles, christmas socks, guess t-shirt, gorgeous silver P necklace, PAL notebook calender, teddy bear & jelly beans
Annie: PAL Bestie tote bag, chopsticks to poke her with, stationary set, cherry bell phone jewel, super hot Jared creation :P, cute Christmas cards

So sorry if I forgot to list something! I loved everything I got so much!!! I feel so blessed and lucky to have family and friends like I have. My mom saw all the things AL sent and said "wow you have really great friends" I'm like "I sure do!!!" (((HUGS))) YAY another Christmas together!

Oh and on Chrismas Eve after getting home and placing all the gifts under the tree. My mom found a little bag had broke and cookies that looked like teddy grahams and cereal had spilled on the floor. She saw they were from Susi & David's stuff and was like Susi must have made a cookie mix. So her and the boys are in there eating them and she was all these aren't very good :( They taste really stale.... She starts reading the goodie bags and it says to "Mellow, Wilbur, & Ross from Squeeky & the humans" my mom is all EWWWWWWWWWWWWWW we've been in there eating dog treats ROFL
We all laughed for so long then I had to call Susi and tell her what had happened.
That was our Christmas :) It came and went sooooo fast it doesn't even seem like it's been here. So sad :( I'm still listening to Christmas music to stay in the Christmas spirit LOL

DAY AFTER CHRISTMAS SALE

For about a month the news has been all psyched up saying that the after Christmas sales would be amazing and would put black friday sales to shame yada yada yada but when I looked online Christmas day at some places the sales weren't really any good but anyways my mom is all "let's be at walmart at 6am when they reopen" so I set my alarm. When it woke me up I got up and sorta got ready and then woke my mom up and she's all "I'm too tired I don't wanna go this early just go back to bed." I'm like :[
So I went back to bed and got up later when I heard my mom uncharacteristically cooking breakfast. LOL Then I tell her that I'm gonna run up to walmart just to see what they have then she decided to go with me.
We ended up going to Garden Ridge first since it was on the way to the walmart we were going to. We picked up some Christmas lights for next year and a light up snowman. I picked up some cute ornaments and their Halloween stuff was 90% off so I got 3 costumes for like $1. LOL I also got some cute shirts that were on sale for $3.99. While in the store my mom thought it was a good idea to let the boys pick out and carry around some foam swords which they kept hitting me with? :[
Then we went to Walmart and they had a ton of stuff left so we got some cute gift sets and leftover Christmas decor there. Walmart didn't carry near the giftsets they did last year. They didn't bring back Christen's favorite scent "frosted sugar cookie" and they didn't bring back my fave lip stuff ever "lip vitamins" :[
After that my mom decides that we've bought so much stuff already we shouldn't go to anymore stores. I'm fine with it cause I pretty much got everything I wanted.
Later that night however she's all let's go to Kmart and then go look at Christmas lights. SO we went and bought more stuff at Kmart. ROFL!

All in all the stores had good after Christmas sales as they usually do on leftover decor and gift sets but on regular stuff like electronics... etc... the sales weren't ANYTHING compared to black friday. so that was all a bunch of hype. :[
